Donate to Help Pay Legal Fees for Someone to Access Justice
Every day, innocent people suffer in silence because they cannot afford a lawyer. From victims of domestic abuse and wrongful accusations to individuals denied their basic rights, the justice system often favors the wealthy — while the poor are left without a voice.
PASDO’s Legal Aid for the Oppressed program exists to change that. With $1,000, you can help secure professional legal representation for someone who would otherwise be defenceless. You may also donate any amount toward this cause. Whether it covers part of a case or combines with others to fund a full legal defence, your gift brings hope and fairness where there was none.
Why Support for Access to Justice Matters
Access to justice should not be a luxury. Yet, for millions of vulnerable people — especially women, children, and the poor — it is.
Many are imprisoned without trial, denied bail, forced into silence, or subjected to abuse simply because they cannot afford legal fees. Without help, their rights are trampled and their lives altered forever.
Legal representation isn’t just about laws — it’s about saving lives, restoring dignity, and protecting the voiceless. When you support legal aid, you stand between injustice and the innocent.
How Donation For Access to Justice Works
Here’s how your contribution can make a difference:
Sponsor full legal representation: With $1,000, you can cover the cost of legal counsel, documentation, and court appearances for one person in urgent need.
Donate toward a case: If you’re not able to sponsor fully, you can still help by donating any amount. Your gift will be combined with others to support legal actions for the oppressed.
Support legal outreach and rights awareness: Donations may also be used for paralegal services, community education, or initial legal consultations that prevent escalation.
Our legal partners and volunteers include qualified lawyers, law firms, and public defenders committed to offering their time and expertise to deserving cases. PASDO prioritizes urgent and high-impact cases — especially those involving abuse, child protection, land grabbing, and unlawful detention.
How We Prioritize the Use of Your Donations
At PASDO, we are committed to making every donation count — especially for those who need help the most.
While our access to justice program is open to everyone who is in need, we give special priority to:
People who are affected by climate change. Whether it’s drought, flooding, gully erosion or crop failure, we direct support to those whose ability to provide for themselves has been disrupted by climate-related crises.
Internally displaced persons and people affected by forced migration, as part of our Migration and Internally Displaced Persons Support Program. These individuals often face disruption of their livelihoods, and are at risk of being overlooked.
The most vulnerable groups, including persons with physical disabilities — people who face disproportionate challenges.
By prioritizing these groups, we ensure that your donation has the deepest impact.
Our Commitment to Integrity and Accountability
At PASDO, we are committed to the judicious use of every single donation we receive.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of transparency, stewardship, and responsibility, as demonstrated in our Donation Terms and Conditions
Your trust is important to us — and we are honored to turn your generosity into real, lasting impact.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who qualifies for legal aid through PASDO?
We focus on individuals who have no means to afford legal counsel and whose cases involve oppression, abuse, or systemic injustice.
Can I sponsor an entire legal case?
Yes. A donation of $1,000 can fund full legal representation for one case, including legal fees and follow-ups.
Can I donate a smaller amount?
Absolutely. Your contribution will be pooled with others to support ongoing or future cases.
How do you select the cases you support?
Cases are reviewed based on urgency, legal merit, vulnerability of the victim, and potential social impact. We prioritize those facing abuse, detention, or violations of fundamental rights.
Will I be informed about the outcome of the case I supported?
Yes. If your donation covers the full cost of legal representation for an individual, we will provide updates on the case outcome and, where appropriate, share a message or letter of appreciation from the beneficiary. Legal cases can be sensitive, so we ensure any updates maintain confidentiality and comply with legal and ethical guidelines while still keeping you connected to the impact of your support.
Can I support legal education or community awareness?
Yes. Part of our legal aid efforts includes outreach programs, paralegal services, and public education to prevent future injustices.
Are lawyers paid, or do they work pro bono?
We work with a mix of volunteer and paid legal professionals. Donations help cover filing fees, transportation, and essential case-related costs even when lawyers volunteer their time.
What countries do you accept donations from?
We accept donations from all countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and all countries in Africa, Europe, and Asia. If you’re unable to use the donation form to send in your donation, feel free to contact us to explain your situation and request for an alternative means.
Do you accept bank transfers, debit card, or cryptocurrency?
Yes, we accept a variety of payment methods, including debit/credit cards, bank transfers, and (in some cases) cryptocurrency. Full details are available on our donation checkout page.
Do I get any acknowledgement, such as a Donor Certificate, after I donate?
Yes. After your donation, you’ll receive an acknowledgement email and/or a Donor Certificate you can keep, print, or share as a symbol of your generosity.
